K-12 Art & Design Competition Submissions

spacer

As part of the college's conference, K-12 students in Nebraska were asked to submit their ideas concerning what cities, buildings and/or bridges might look like in the 22nd century. The categories for the competition were K-4, 5-8, and 9-12 grades.

We received 45 submissions, which are featured below. The entries were judged by two architectural engineering faculty and a college student representative. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three in each category. The schools attended by the 1st place winners also receive $1,000 for STEM education. An audience favorite was also selected in each category by votes of the conference participants, which included college faculty, students and industry professionals.

Thank you to the students, teachers and parents for your effort, enthusiasm, and positive thinking concerning 22nd century cities and structures.
