Discover Engineering Days: Nov. 6-8, 2012
The College of Engineering started Discover Engineering Days to introduce middle school students and their teachers to the various fields in engineering and the engineering programs offered at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The event is hosted by the college's student organizations and is filled with hands-on activities that apply math, science and creative thinking skills. Students are responsible for bringing their own sack lunches. Each day will end with an optional tour of the UNL Dairy Store or Memorial Stadium.
- OPTION 1 - The Dairy Store! Perfect for Nov. 7, the UNL Dairy Store is located in the East Campus Visitors Center. The UNL Dairy Store has been selling dairy products since 1917. At one time, the Dairy Store/Plant provided all the dairy products for the UNL Dormitories. Tour their facilities at NO COST.
- To arrange for a tour, contact the Dairy Store at 472-2828.
- OPTION 2 - Tour of Memorial Stadium. Memorial Stadium is located between 10th street and Stadium Drive on the downtown campus of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and is home to the Huskers. Tours last approximately one hour. Transportation is not provided from East campus to Memorial Stadium, and guests are encouraged to park in the Stadium Drive Parking Garage. There is NO COST for this tour.

Registration is closed for all three sessions.
Teachers, please have students’ parents complete the photo release form and bring each form with you to campus.
The registration form should be completed by the teacher or chaperone responsible for the student/group.
