Prof. Bill Holmes has been with the College of Engineering and Technology at UNO since 1976. He is a registered professional architect with over 30 years' experience in design and the development of construction documents. He has done alternative energy research and development and has specialized in educational facilities planning. He has held staff positions in three architecture/engineering consulting firms and has served as a consultant to several others.
Prof. Holmes' current areas of professional interest and effort are in microcomputer applications in building design and construction, computerized systems for information processing in design and construction, computer graphics, computer-aided-design and drafting systems (CADD), microcomputer systems integration, architectural design, and technical writing and illustration. Prof. Holmes teaches courses in software applications for computational analysis in construction, construction drawing, and construction fundamentals. He holds degrees in art and architecture from Hastings College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
