Most Construction Management (CM) graduate courses are offered in the late afternoons or evenings to try to accommodate working professionals. This is not true of all courses in the College of Business Administration or Architecture, so you may experience difficulty working some of those courses into your schedule. CM graduate courses are offered within a two year cycle, so every course is not offered each semester or even annually. It is generally impossible to complete the MEng program in less than two years.
Christine Warren will be the point of contact for new applicants during the admissions process. Applicants should indicate in a cover letter whether they wish to pursue a majority of their studies on the Omaha or Lincoln campus. Once a campus has been selected, Christine Warren will attempt to pair each graduate student with a faculty advisor to develop a schedule of courses.
A student's schedule of courses must be signed at Graduate Studies prior to that student completing eighteen hours of graduate credit.
A resume documenting two years of construction or construction-related experience, three letters of reference from professionals familiar with your work, a cover letter stating which campus you wish to pursue graduate studies in construction, TOEFL (for international students) and/or GRE scores are to be sent to Christine Warren. Formal application for admission should be made through the UNL graduate office. The completed application form, appropriate fees, and all college related transcripts are sent directly to the UNL admissions office.
The deadline for all materials to reach the program coordinator is March 1st for each fall semester and October 1st for each spring semester. Packets only partially complete on the above dates will be deferred to the next cycle.
