Student Organizations
In the Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska, our students have the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills through various student organizations. Our Institution of Industrial Engineers (IIE) chapter participates in Regional and National conferences, organizes tours of local businesses for its members and has frequent social gatherings. The Alpha Pi Mu chapter is an honor society for Industrial Engineers who have shown outstanding academic abilities.

• NASA awards grants to 2 UNL faculty
• Rajurkar Awarded SME International Honor
• The IMSE department welcomes Jeffrey Woldstad as our new department chair. Dr. Woldstad most recently was Senior Associate Dean for the College of Engineering at Texas Tech University. 1-5-09
• Dr. Paul Savory has been appointed interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Extended Education & Outreach 1-5-09
• Dr. Susan Hallbeck has returned from a 6-month sabbatical in the Netherlands where she worked for an ergonomics design firm 1-5-09
