Undergraduate-Admissions Requirements
Students from high school will be expected to have completed specific core course requirements:
- 4 units (or years) of college prep English
- 4 units of mathematics - algebra I, algebra II, geometry, pre-calculus, and trigonometry
- 3 units of social studies - 1 unit of American and/or world history and 1 unit of history, American government and/or geography
- 3 units of natural sciences - chemistry and physics, 1 unit must include laboratory
- 2 units of one foreign language
ACT composite of 24 or higher or SAT total score (Critical Reading and Math only) of 1110 or higher*
*If the minimum admission had not been met, a student still may be admitted based on an individual review of his/her application.
For transfer students, the department will work closely with you to maximize the number of courses that can be transferred into the IMSE degree program.

• Dr. Susan Hallbeck has returned from a 6-month sabbatical in the Netherlands where she worked for an ergonomics design firm 1-5-09
