Course Objectives

For ELEC 216
Electronics and Circuits II

The objectives for this course are for the students to:

  • analyze circuits involving mutual inductance and transformers,
  • determine three phase ac power in simple passive circuits,
  • gain knowledge of basic semiconductor physics and pn junction diodes,
  • apply the knowledge of diodes to analyze non-linear circuits,
  • design biasing circuits for bipolar transistors, and analyze mid-band amplifier gain for BJT amplifiers.
