• learn to evaluate Loss of Load Probability for a generation system.
  
• learn to Use Markov processes to calculate limiting state probabilities of a discrete process.
  
• learn to calculate the total production cost of a power systems including forced outages.
  
• understand the concepts and terminology used in a competitive electric marketplace.
