Power & Energy Systems Laboratory

Welcome to Power & Energy Systems Laboratory (PESL)!

The Power & Energy Systems Laboratory (PESL) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) was established in the fall of 2008. Our research aims to develop innovative technologies to provide better electric energy security and sustainability. To achieve this goal we carry out state-of-the-art research in the areas of clean and renewable energy systems, smart grids, microgrids, power system control and optimization, condition monitoring and fault diagnostics, energy storage systems, power electronics, electric machines and drives, and computational intelligence for electric power and energy systems..
