The Department of Civil Engineering at UNL offer the following graduate programs on both campuses of the university in Lincoln and Omaha. For the graduate degree programs in Civil Engineering, students can specialize in Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering.


The department offers a master's degree in Civil Engineering on both the Lincoln and Omaha campuses, administered through UNL. The Master of Science (M.S.) degree requires completion of 30 to 36 credits of coursework depending on the option chosen.


The department offers a dual master's degree in Civil Engineering and Community and Regional planning in collaboration with the UNL College of Architecture. Click here for more details.


The Master of Science in Environmental Engineering (M.S. EnvE) program is a multi-disciplinary, interdepartmental program jointly administered by the Departments of Civil Engineering and Biological Systems Engineering.


The department offers a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering on both the Lincoln and Omaha campuses, administered through UNL. Many research opportunities are available depending on the individual interests of faculty and students.
