On the strength of its Master of Engineering Management program, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering has been ranked No. 30 among the 50 Best Online Engineering Programs by College Choice.

In ranking Nebraska Engineering, College Choice cited the MEM program for its unique approach to graduate education in engineering:

"The University of Nebraska-Lincoln believes that getting an engineering degree online shouldn't be a hassle. That's why the school offers the Master of Engineering Management 100 percent online. This university is regionally accredited by the NCACS THLC and the program has been ranked in the top 15 best online graduate engineering programs by U.S. News and World Report.

"This program offers a variety of online engineering topics for the professional engineer, including organizational structure and development, business theories and practice, and project management. These are courses that reflect the different aspects of engineering management while speaking to a student's understanding of the industry.

"The MEM program at UNL is for experienced engineers or students who have just completed a degree in engineering. It is also for working professionals who need a flexible degree that can work around their life, enabling them to continue their career while advancing in education.

"This is a 30-credit hour degree with only six credit hours eligible to be transferred in from another regionally accredited institution. Students will also want to take notice that this degree does not require a thesis; the MEM at UNL is a coursework-only graduate degree."
