First-Year Experience and Transition Programs provide academic support designed to assist undergraduate students in refining and strengthening the academic skills necessary for success at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. Staff works closely with other departments on campus and offers academic support through workshops, Study Stop, and one-on-one academic coaching.

Chemistry Resource Center - 227 Hamilton Hall - 472.3514
In the Chemistry Resource Center, students have access to free tutoring by teaching assistants and a computer lab with specialized software. The Chemistry Resource Center is located in 227 Hamilton Hall. Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Computer Science and Engineering Resource Center - 13A Avery Hall
The CSE Student Resource Center located in Avery Hall 12, is staffed by student tutors who are available M–F, 9 A.M.–5 P.M. to help you with your CS and CE courses. The staff can also provide technical support on issues such as problems logging in, printing, installing an app, etc. and point you in the right direction if you need additional help.

General Student Services
Whether you're a freshman, a transfer student or a fifth-year senior, your experience at UNL will take you far beyond the classroom. The university offers many services to support you academically, socially and physically.

Help is available for any language taught on campus.

Math Resource Center - 13B Avery Hall
The Mathematics Resource Center (Avery 13 for the academic year, Avery 202 for the summer) is a FREE tutoring service; and is the primary facility for undergraduate students who have questions related to any precalculus or calculus course offered by the department. Students can ask for assistance with the following Math courses: 100A, 101, 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, and 107H. The Center also provides an excellent location for students to meet and work together on assignments or group projects. No appointments or reservations are needed...just come by.

Mechanical Engineering Resource Center - W150 Nebraska Hall
Tutors are provided to help students for the following MECH courses. If you need help and the hours listed do not work for you, please see your instructor during office hours or make an appointment. The Tutor Room is located in Room W150A/B, which is inside the M2E Learning Center located on the first (ground) floor of Nebraska Hall, Room W150.

Physics Resource Center - 253 Jorgensen Hall
For assistance with an introductory Physics course (PHYS 1XX or 2XX) during Fall or Spring semesters, visit the Physics Resource Room in Jorgensen Hall Room 253

Writing Resources Center - 129 Andrews Hall, 119 Sandoz Hall, First floor Smith Hall - 472-8803
At the UNL Writing Center, our undergraduate and graduate Writing Consultants work with writers at all levels, from all disciplines, at all stages of the writing process. Whether you are brainstorming or organizing ideas or polishing a final draft, we look forward to discussing your writing with you. All forms of communication are welcome, from essays, lab reports, and research papers to presentations, speeches, cover letters, and personal statements.
