Durham School's Shen and Jensen honored at ASCE conference

American Society of Civil Engineers President Cathy Caldwell, P.E., F. ASCE (far left) and Patrick Natale, P.E., F. ASCE (far right), ASCE executive director, presented the ASCE Society Award to UNL's Zhigang Shen (center left) and Wayne Jensen (center right) at the ASCE 2011 Annual Conference in Memphis, Tenn. on Oct. 21.

Shen, an assistant professor of construction management, and Jensen, an associate professor of construction management, wrote the paper,“Civil Engineer as Master Builders and the Professionalization of Construction,” which was awarded the 2011 Best Feature Article Award by the Journal of Leadership and Management in Engineering. Shen and Jensen are on the faculty of UNL's Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction.
