Within the UNL College of Engineering, The Durham School was formed to provide a unique program combination of architectural engineering and construction, allowing students to experience a variety of courses, industry experience and research opportunities.

Architectural Engineering
Architectural Engineering (AE) focuses on the design, integration and coordination of building engineering systems, including structural systems; heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems; acoustical systems; and lighting and electrical systems. -
Construction Engineering
The Construction Engineering program (CONE) offers academic preparation leading to professional careers in technical environments that involve the delivery of constructed facilities—including buildings, transportation systems, industrial systems and energy-related construction projects. The B.S. Degree in Construction Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. -
Construction Management
Construction is the largest and most diversified industry in the nation. The key professionals in this vast enterprise are construction managers: industry leaders who plan, schedule and build projects designed by architects and engineers. The Construction Management program (CNST) is offered in Lincoln and Omaha; the program allows students to take classes on either or both campuses.
