Mike Baumert, PE, is a structural engineer and president of Nielsen-Baumert Engineering, Inc. Mike graduated from UNL in 1973 with a BSCE and in 1977 with an MSCE, specializing in structural engineering. After working for 10 years for a large A/E Firm in the Omaha Area, he joined Ray Nielsen in 1984 to form Nielsen-Baumert Engineering, Inc. This firm is owned by its seven practicing professional structural engineers and specializes in structural engineering consulting services on commercial, educational, institutional and light industrial projects.
