Career Fairs are an opportunity to meet with representatives from a variety of industries, learn about available positions and determine which organizations may be the best fit for you.

Who Should Attend?

  • Students enrolled in Durham School programs: Architectural Engineering, Construction Management and Construction Engineering

  • Students enrolled in Civil Engineering programs

  • Students interested in a career in any of the fields listed above

How to Prepare

  • Create or update your resume. The UNL College of Engineering, the UNO Career Center and UNL Career Services offer assistance with resume writing, interview skills, cover letters, etc. If submitted in advance, employers will receive your resume prior to the career fair. Resumes for The Durham School Career Fair should be submitted to Christine Warren via e-mail at Please use this format for the name of your file: “LastNameFirstNameAcademicProgramGraduationYear", Example: "SmithJoeAE2012". Microsoft Word or PDF are acceptable formats - please do not send image files of scanned resume. AE students in 4th or 5th year (MAE), please put in the text of your e-mail message which specialization you are pursuing - Lighting/Electrical, Mechanical/Acoustics, Structural.

    In addition, please submit your registration for a Husker Hire Link account online. An e-mail will be sent to you once your account is set up, then log-in to Husker Hire Link and follow the instructions listed to upload your resume.   • Attend the Career Fair prep events, which will be advertised in July.

  • Attend the Welcome Reception on October 6. Mingle with potential employers before the Career Fair begins at the scheduled Welcome Reception in the Scott Conference Center.
