Durham - Advisory Boards

Durham Board of Institutional Advancement

The Durham Board of Institutional Oversight, which is comprised of industry leaders, philanthropic donors, the School Director, the College of Engineering Dean, and the University Chancellor, oversees the $30 million Durham Endowment for the benefit of the School. The Durham Board of Institutional Oversight meets on a quarterly basis to discuss and establish strategic plans for the School, funding opportunities, and initiatives for collaboration between the School, College, University, and Industry. About half of the endowment funds are currently available and the rest will be available by 2016. The endowment proceeds have a significant impact on School operations as they have been allocated to support School staff positions, undergraduate scholarships, graduate assistantships, and special initiatives. More support is expected as the endowment becomes fully funded.
