About Zhigang Shen

Dr. Shen’s research focuses on building/construction visualization, sustainable built environment, and innovative engineering education. As PI/Co-PIs, he was awarded more than $4M (self-portion $688k) grants from research agencies such as NSF, EPA, DOE, DOL and NDOR. Up to December 2012, he published 15 peer-reviewed journal articles and 21 peer-reviewed conference papers. He had 6 years industry experience in the areas of design and construction of large-scale commercial buildings and high-end residential buildings. He taught courses in Building Construction Cost Estimating and Building Information Modeling since 2007 at UNL.
