JA Titan:


Would you like to compete to win a cash prize just by playing a computer game? If so, there is an opportunity for you to compete in the JA Titan Competition this year!

Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 - 7 - 9:30 p.m.

In the JA Titan computer game, teams do the following:

  1. Create a product
  2. Market & sell your product
  3. Make business decisions to beat competing teams
  4. Have fun!

If at least 60 participants sign-up and attend the competition (3-person teams, but students can sign up individually and you will be placed on a team), the following prizes will be awarded for a freshmen team bracket (only freshmen on the same team) and an upperclassmen bracket:

First place teams: $100 per person
Second place teams: $50 per person
Third place teams: $25 per person

The competition is free and and there will be prizes sponsored by a UNL Engineering alum for the winners.

Lincoln Campus: The competition will be held in the Henzlik computer lab in Henzlik Hall (Vine Street between 14th & 16th street in room 123, straight past the entrance doors).

Omaha Campus: The competition will be held at The Peter Kiewit Institute. Registrants will be e-mailed the specific location before the event. The room will also be posted in the PKI Atrium on the day of the event.
