A tremendous variety of internships and research experiences for undergraduate engineering students at UNL are available each year. We highly encourage our students to participate in at least one internship and/or co-op experience.
The Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experiences (UCARE) Program creates intellectual partnerships between UNL faculty and undergraduate students by providing funds for research. It is supported by the Office of Undergraduate Studies and funded by the Pepsi Endowment and Program of Excellence funds.
The College of Engineering is proud of our students and their accomplishments, and provides several opportunities for recognition.
Students with a 3.5 or above GPA are included on the college's Dean's List each semester.
At the end of each semester, the college recognizes our graduating seniors as well as those students receiving academic awards. These awards include: Al & Dorothy Schewe Engineering Leadership Award, O.J. Ferguson Outstanding Senior Award, O.J. Ferguson Outstanding Junior Award, O.J. Ferguson Outstanding Sophomore Award, Sigma Tau Scholarship, Tau Beta Pi Distinguished Scholars, Departmental Outstanding Seniors, Engineering Student of the Year, and others.
