Parents: Lincoln Campus Visits

We want you and your student to visit the university and our college. It's important to talk to our students, see classes in session, and check out the labs and technology that will help your student succeed as an engineer. We want to hear your questions and help as you and your student make that important college decision.

Individual Campus Visits
This is Nebraska's most versatile campus visit option. Individual campus visits include an information session, a walking tour and a meeting with a representative from your student's area of interest. Contact the Office of Admissions prior to visiting so arrangements can be made in advance. Transfer students also may schedule campus visits. While on the visit, your student will have the opportunity to discuss transfer credits with a representative from the College of Engineering.

Red Letter Days
Red Letter Day, an all-day event, is an open house program offered on the UNL city campus for high school seniors and their families. During Red Letter Day, your student may choose from several group presentations: choosing a major, scholarships, learning communities, financial aid, and many more. He or she will also have a chance to attend academic presentations, meet with faculty from academic areas of interest, have lunch in a residence hall, and meet other prospective and current students.

Events & Activities
The College of Engineering host many events throughout the year for prospective students, including Women Interested In Engineering Day (WIIE); Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science (TEAMS); Discover Engineering Days, and E-Week. As events near, information about each event and registration will be posted in the Events section of the Web site.
