Prospective Students:
College of Engineering Early Entry Program
Nebraska Engineering is offering high-achieving high school students in their senior year the opportunity to register and earn college credit through the Early Entry Program on the college's Omaha Campus.
Upon the recommendation of the high school counselor, high school students may apply to take an undergraduate course in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Construction Management through the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Early Entry Program.
Provided below is a list of courses offered through the Early Entry Program and their corresponding sample syllabus. The application deadline date is August 1, 2009; space is limited so it is recommended that interested students apply early.

Introduction to Architectural Engineering, AE 1010

An overview of architectural engineering. Descriptions of structural, lighting and electrical, and mechanical engineered systems in buildings. Design and measurement exercises. Field visits to buildings.

Early Entry Application for Admission
A $45.00 non-refundable application fee is required. Early Entry applicants must have their application approved by the high school counselor and a parent/guardian. Homeschooled students should use the parental signature. Early Entry students must meet the minimum academic admission requirements for the Early Entry Program. Specific requirements are outlined in the undergraduate catalog and on the Early Entry Application. Students must have achieved a minimum "B" (3.00 on a 4.00 scale) average in all high school academic core coursework. An Early Entry Application must be completed each semester the student wishes to be considered for this program.
