  • Majors
  • Academic Units Our academic units include the various departments of the college, along with our special programs and facilities.
  • Academic Success The university offers many resources for students seeking additional assistance with their coursework, study skills, time management, tutoring, etc.
  • Internships / Co-ops A tremendous variety of internships and research experiences for undergraduate engineering students are available each year. We highly encourage our students to participate in at least one internship and/or co-op experience.
  • Research
    Crashing cars, mini-surgical robots, testing tractors, or floating 35,000 feet above ground: Nebraska Engineering faculty and students are heavily involved in research projects. From endeavors like NASA's Microgravity University, the Mini Baja car and concrete canoe competitions, to saving lives on racetracks, creating new types of human cartilage, or designing micro-robots for surgeons, the opportunities for research are plentiful.
    • UCARE Program: The Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experiences (UCARE) Program creates intellectual partnerships between UNL faculty and undergraduate students by providing funds for research. UCARE is supported by the Office of Undergraduate Studies and funded by the Pepsi Endowment and Program of Excellence funds.
