Engineering Undergraduate Prospective Students

Transfer Student Information

Students who have completed 12 or more semester credits from a postsecondary institution are considered transfer students.

Transfer students applying to NEBRASKA must meet performance requirements and have completed a core of selected high school course for admission to NEBRASKA. Transfer students must submit high school and college transcripts as part of the review process (college courses can be used to satisfy the high school requirements).

  • S.T.E.P.

Transitioning from a community college to a major university can be a little confusing. "Will my credits transfer?" "Will I graduate at the same time as my peers?" Our Strengthening Transitions into Engineering Programs (STEP) answers your questions. STEP allows you to complete select freshmen and sophomore engineering courses at any Nebraska community college and then transfer seamlessly into the college. The program allows you to finish a bachelor's degree in engineering within a traditional time frame.

"Everyone wants to see everyone else succeed, which I think is a quality that has become rare in places where other students' success is viewed as a threat. "
