Counseling and Psychological Services provides individual, group and relationship counseling. Walk-in and after-hours assistance is available for urgent concerns. In addition, CAPS psychiatrists can prescribe medications if needed. Special workshops and support groups that help you relax, gain assertiveness skills, manage the demands of school and children, improve body image, complete theses and dissertations, manage anger, and handle other issues of concern.
The first three counseling visits are at no charge for any student during their enrollment at UNL. However, charges begin with the fourth visit and are based on an hourly rate. There is a charge for visits with a the CAPS psychiatrists. Remember, most of CAPS services are offered at rates below community rates, and insurance may cover your counseling visit depending upon your insurance plan. Sept 4: Last day to add/drop a class with 100% refund
Sept 7: Last day to drop a class without receiving a 'W'
Oct 19: Last day to change Pass/No Pass option
Oct 29 - Nov 13: Priority Registration for Second Semester
Nov 16: Last day to withdraw from courses
Dec 17-21: First Semester Final Exams
