Stephanie G. Adams and Lance C. Pérez have new administrative positions in the College of Engineering. Adams, associate professor of industrial and management systems engineering, is now the associate dean for undergraduate education. She is overseeing projects related to recruitment and retention, outreach, advising, career services and communications. Prior to her appointment, she had been the college's assistant dean of research since 2004. Pérez, associate professor of electrical engineering, will become the associate dean for academic affairs and graduate programs on June 1. He will oversee the college's international education programs, undergraduate degree program audits, accreditation and graduate programs. Pérez will continue serving as director of graduate studies, a position he has held since March 2005. Adams and Pérez replace John Ballard, who is returning to teaching this fall after serving as associate dean of undergraduate academics for 13 years.
