Sarah Drummey, a student in the architectural engineering master’s program, has been chosen the 2018 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Scholar of the Year and a $10,000 prize.

Drummey was chosen from a nationwide pool of applicants who were entering their junior, senior, fifth or master’s degree year in the fall of 2018 and must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an ABET-accredited engineering program or an accredited land-surveying program.

Applications are considered base on five criteria – cumulative grade-point average, an essay, work experience, a recommendation and extracurricular college activities.
