Favorite Memory of UNL
Ashleigh's favorite memory of UNL is all the amazing Sci-Pop Talks she got to enjoy. As a science-fiction nerd, she loved learning new applications for the content she learned in class and still has a plant she received from one of the talks her freshman year that she named Jerry.
Future Plans
Ashleigh is going to attend Tufts University in the fall to pursue her PhD in Chemical Engineering as a GEM Associate Fellow.
Who/What has inspired you during your college career?
Ashleigh has been inspired by her Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Familia and lab group. Ashleigh would not be who she is without the support of SHPE and the opportunities it provided to meet countless successful engineers. Dr. Cornelius' lab group welcomed her and guided her throughout her journey in undergraduate research. These groups inspired her everyday to continue to pursue her passion for becoming a research engineer.
