Ashley HornsbyAcademic Advisor (Graduate Assistant)
Ashley is a second-year graduate student in the Educational Administration - Student Affairs program. She is serving as a Graduate Assistant for the College of Engineering as an Academic Advisor. She primarily advises Mechanical Engineering students. She is here to help with general advising, academic coaching, resume reviews, registration, or other needs.
Ashley is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for her undergraduate career. She graduated in 2012 with a B.S. in Chinese Education and a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures. While at Miami, she studied abroad twice in China: Xi'an (semester, affiliated program) and Tianjin (summer, faculty-led program). After graduating, she lived and worked in South Korea for one year teaching after school English to elementary students at Hapcheon Elementary School in Cheongyang. She then lived and worked in China for 10 months teaching English to freshman, sophomore, and graduate students at Sun Yat-Sen University in Zhuhai. She started at UNL in the fall of 2016 and just completed her first year at UNL as a graduate student!
