Hall of Fame Award

The Hall of Fame Award is awarded by the Department Hall of Fame Committee. This award recognizes graduates of the University of Nebraska’s Department of Biological Systems Engineering and its predecessors who have excelled in occupations related to their field of selection and others who are not graduates of the University of Nebraska’s Department of Biological Systems Engineering or its predecessors but have provided valuable leadership to the aims and purposes of the Biological Systems Engineering Department.

Early Career Excellence Award for Alumni

This award is for alumni, undergraduate or graduate, of the University of Nebraska’s Department of Biological Systems Engineering who have excelled and provided valuable leadership in their profession. Candidate should have less than 10 years of professional working experience, exclusive of graduate/professional school. Apply here.

Mid-Career Excellence Award for Alumni

This award is for alumni, undergraduate or graduate, of the University of Nebraska’s Department of Biological Systems Engineering who have excelled and provided valuable leadership in their profession. Candidate should have between 10 and 20 years of professional working experience, exclusive of graduate/professional school. Apply here.

Early and Mid-Career Excellence Awards Nomination Timeline

Deadline for submission of all application materials: August 1, 2023.

The Hall of Fame, Early and Mid-Career Excellence awardees will be announced this fall and celebrated at an award event on campus.

Nomination Instructions

Nominations for either award should include a letter describing the outstanding contributions of the candidate to advance their field or profession, along with a current curriculum vitae/resume not to exceed five pages. Self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged. The letter and current curriculum vitae/resume should be sent to Dr. Angie Pannier by August 1, 2023.
