Daniel Linzell, professor and chair of UNL's civil engineering department, is one of five UNL faculty members who will take part in the Committee on Institutional Cooperation's Academic Leadership Program the 2014-15 academic year.

The participation of the UNL faculty is sponsored by the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

This year’s fellows will attend the first seminar later this month at University of Minnesota, followed by one in February at Northwestern University and another in April at Ohio State University.

The Academic Leadership Program, established in 1989, develops the academic leadership and managerial skills of nominated faculty who have demonstrated exceptional ability and academic promise. The program addresses the challenges of academic administration at major research universities, while helping faculty members prepare to meet those challenges.
