About Matthew:
Matt Tondl is a Senior Vice President of HDR. He is currently responsible for the 400 engineering staff serving clients in Nebraska and Iowa. Matt graduated from the University of Nebraska with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and has over 30 years of design and management experience.
Matt’s technical expertise is in the area of transportation planning, design, financing, and construction. His experience includes major river crossing projects, rail grade separation projects, system interchanges, and major urban arterial projects. He was the lead traffic engineer for the Denver International Airport landside roadway system, and has been involved with numerous major planning studies that have improved multimodal transportation in the Midwest.
Matt has served as President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Nebraska. He also has served on several Transportation Research Board Committees.
