Communication/Marketing Rules & Regulations

The College of Engineering Communications office provides leadership and support to promote Nebraska Engineering and enhance its reputation. We help build a foundation for recruiting top students, top faculty, and developing resources for the College by telling the world about the groundbreaking work happening at Nebraska Engineering.

Our job is to tell the college’s stories. While we would like to assist with every project, only items that fall into the following categories will be taken on by our office*:

  • Items directly related to reputation or growth
  • Recruiting materials
  • College sponsored events
  • National/External campaigns
  • Strategic planning (marketing)
  • Facility planning

Projects we are unable to assist with:

  • Student sponsored/small events
  • Student group projects
  • Personal projects

*The COE Communications also has the power to use our digression when it comes to selecting projects.

COE Communications will require no less than two weeks to work on your projects. This does not include print time, so please plan accordingly. All job requests submitted to marketing and communications will require a request form. You will receive up to 2 proofs ONLY of your requested project. After a final product has been signed off on, no further changes will be accepted.

Once your project has been either sent to print or published in any way, you will receive a status update and an expected due date email. If your project has been printed or mailed, you will also receive an emailed notification of final delivery thus closing the job.

The College of Engineering is unique. We are located on three campuses and two cities. Unity is important and that is reflected in our messaging and our public face. If we are not able to accommodate your job or you are not a designer by trade, we offer the templates for you to download here

In the same token, we are all under the College of Engineering brand. For this reason we cannot allow every department, group or program to have a logo. If you have any questions, please contact someone on the COE team.
