Announcements

  • 3-19-20: The 2020 Senior Design Showcase - scheduled for May 1, 2020 - has been cancelled in response to university and college guidelines, and the evolving situation regarding COVID-19. Department leaders are currently working on ways in which students and teams can still showcase their projects/designs. If you have any questions/concerns, contact Cameron Adams at cadams@unl.edu
  • 3-17-20: As of March 17, only Love Library and Adele Hall Learning Commons will be open; all other library locations are now closed - including the Engineering Library in Nebraska Hall. For more information, view the Library's COVID-19 website

Financial Concerns

The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA) is available to support students and families and will make every effort to mitigate financial burdens created by this extraordinary situation. If you have incurred—or will incur—additional expenses or severe financial hardship, contact Husker Hub at 402-472-2030 or huskerhub@unl.edu to request a financial aid review for the Spring 2020 semester.

Academic Advising

Academic advisors will continue to support students throughout the semester and help address any challenges that may arise as a result of the current circumstances. Please let us know if you have any questions, but here are a few guidelines to keep in mind:

  • If you have any quick questions or items that can be discussed over email, we encourage you to reach out to your advisor via email.
  • If you need to discuss your enrollment in the Summer or Fall 2020 terms, please continue to schedule meetings using

  • If you have been professionally admitted and assigned to a faculty advisor, we encourage you to reach out to your advisor via email to discuss the best way to connect with them to discuss your advising needs.

Engineering Career Services

The Engineering Career Services team is available to continue supporting you with any needs you have regarding help with your resume and other application materials, searching for opportunities, preparing for interviews, and more. Please feel free to contact us via email or telephone. 

  • If you have any quick questions or items that can be discussed over email, we encourage you to contact to Bonnie Martin(City Campus) or Robia Qasimyar (Scott Campus) via email.
  • If you need more time with the Career Services team to talk through resume/other document review, help searching for opportunities, preparing for an interview, or any other career-related topic, please schedule a video or phone meeting using the scheduling system for your campus:

Recognized Student Organizations & Other Groups

  • As of March 16, 2020, the College of Engineering is canceling all events that involve 10 or more people.
  • We strongly encourage the suspension of all in person extracurricular activities, including any general meetings or other activities for recognized student organizations.
