About Ian
As an engineering student and a member of the Honors Program, the Grand Challenges Scholar Program stood out to me as an excellent way to begin thinking forward about how I want to use the skills and knowledge that I am gaining here at UNL. I believe that by pursuing the Grand Challenges, engineers will be able to greatly improve life for people all over the world.
I specifically chose my challenge, Engineering Better Medicines, because I have always had an interest in healthcare, despite my choice to focus on engineering. I believe that the creation of better and more affordable medications and healthcare treatments will have an enormous impact on society and that the best way that I can use my engineering skills to serve others is to pursue this goal.
