The Department of Civil Engineering hosted its third annual Fall Banquet on Friday, November 17th. The banquet, which honors students expecting to graduate in December as well as scholarship recipients for the 2017-2018 academic year, was held at the Strategic Air and Space Museum in Ashland, Nebraska.

This year, the department recognized 52 students who are expecting to graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering at the end of the fall semester. Scholarship recipients included 27 awardees from the College of Engineering for Department of Civil Engineering students and 66 awards given to students using funds from the Department of Civil Engineering. Dr. John Stansbury, Associate Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering, and John Olsson of Olsson Associates delivered keynote speechs.

The Fall Banquet is organized by the Department of Civil Engineering’s Social Committee, consisting of Dr. Massoum Moussavi, Mr. Randy Peters, Arlys Blakey, Ashley West, Patricia Lena and Keith McGuffey.
