This past summer I worked in Fremont, Nebraska as an Intern for Constructors Inc.This internship greatly expanded my knowledge over bridge building and the construction management process. Throughout the summer I was exposed to the management role more than I have been in the past. I regularly worked with laborers, my foreman, superintendent ,project manager. Although my internship required a multitude of tasks it was mainly centered around a four lane bridge over a live railroad and an active highway.
This summer was a very interesting and informative. This internship also includes a final presentation and feedbackSession at the end of the summer along with intern outings and meetings. I feel as though I apply a large portion of what I have learned in school to my internship and hope I can continue to do so throughout my career.
