This summer I had the pleasure to work for a local company called Aksarben Concrete in their sales division. We focus on residential concrete removal and replacement. This internship has helped me approve in many aspects including planning, teamwork and communication. A few of the projects I have been a part of are huge learning experiences and I was faced with situations that I had no previous experience dealing with. The thing that I have improved the most this summer is my communication skills because I am constantly working with new people and building relationships with them. The main component of my job is giving out estimates for projects and then working with the customer for the next few weeks to try and persuade them to choose our company over our competitors. I will forever be grateful that Aksarben Concrete gave me a chance to prove my skills to them and to be an asset to their team. I hope to continue with the skills I have learned working with Aksarben throughout the rest of my life.
