This summer I worked as a Mechanical Intern for The Waldinger Corporation in Omaha. This internship has helped me learn more about project management and about how the mechanical industry operates. I worked as the general contractor, our project managers, the foreman, and various vendors. As well as working with detailers from the company to produce updates plans. I worked solely on the Data Center project in Papillion Nebraska.
This internship has been a great experience for me because I have been able to be exposed to many aspects of a project that I had never seen before as well as being on a cutting edge project for a large client. Along with the work on the project, I was given the opportunity to participate in professional development meetings with other employees of the company and learned tools for successful project management. The internship program also provided intern meetings with high level team members to talk about their experience in their career as well as the company as a whole.
The knowledge that I have learned from school definitely helped me succeed at this internship and I will continue to learn more each day.
