The last few years I have been studying to be a Mechanically specialized Architectural Engineer, and have had the great pleasure of being an intern at Morrissey Engineering. It has helped stimulate and radically expand my knowledge and understanding in the world of Mechanical Engineering. Though it is far from done, my internship so far has taught me more things than I ever expected to glean in just a few weeks - codes about plumbing, designing and coordination of ductwork for structure and other disciplines, as well as establishing models to be accessed efficiently by other coworkers.
Furthermore, I have gotten to work on a variety of projects, from residential low and high rises, to commercial buildings designed to be rented out. These different projects give greater understanding to the world of engineering, and have helped me learn what the reality of being an engineer is in the modern day. I look forward to continuing on with Morrissey, as well as learning as much as I can about being a professionally practicing engineering.
