As an intern at KRTConstruction, my role as a field engineer was to work as a team to help complete multiple projects. This job was very hands on as opposed to being in the office, working with numbers, etc. I got to do the dirty work and really understand the building side of construction. I faced many challenges throughout this internship, but luckily with a great team, and great problem-solving skills, I was able to figure it out and keep a good reputation for myself.
I really appreciated the amount of trust my boss and coworkers put into me with taking on tasks by myself and doing important parts of projects. A lot of what I had to accomplish, is hard to take straight from the classroom, but I was able to manage and learn to the best of my ability to take on new challenges. KRT Construction really helped me as a worker and as a person. Thanks to this internship, I have reevaluated my goals in life and will strive to reach those goals.
