Continuous improvement and assessment are central components of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering’s mission of providing excellent post-secondary education. Through our assessment processes, we identify opportunities for innovation and improvement and empirically demonstrate the effectiveness of existing programs.
The assessment and evaluation conducted by the ECEC integrates quantitative and qualitative methods in order to construct a complete picture of the processes and outcomes that we assess. We partner with stakeholders across the college as we assess programs that serve students as well as faculty. We consult with and support faculty conducting Scholarship of Teaching and Learning on evidence-based instructional strategies in engineering, support departments with ABET accreditation, and support the college and deans' office assessment needs.
