City Campus continues to be construction central with Kiewit Hall taking shape along 17th and Vine Streets and the Engineering Research Center reflecting its progress along 16th Street as the windows of the new building showcase new interior lighting, labs and walkways.

Construction activities concluding in mid-April include shallow foundations and foundation waterproofing of Kiewit Hall as well as structural steel erection and sump basin installation of the new facility. More exterior work continues outside of the Engineering Research Center, including pavers and the installation of exterior furnishings.

Additionally, interior renovations to Scott Engineering Center continue with window replacements, ongoing mechanical installations and duct work.  North entries to the building are undergoing metal framing and window replacements began April 11 and will last for two to three months.

North ADA entrances to Nebraska Hall continue toward completion and, as always, progress on the college’s $190 million multi-phase facilities projects is updated frequently and can be viewed live on the College of Engineering’s Construction Central website.
