MEM rises in the rankings, continues to earn praise for online delivery

US News and World Report: Best Online Programs: Grad Engineering 2022 Engineers looking to pursue a graduate degree program that meets their career objectives as well as time management goals, need look no further than the College of Engineering's fully online Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program. The MEM remains highly ranked among the best in the nation, earning two top-20 spots in the 2022 U.S. News & World Report rankings released earlier this year.

Ranked 17th overall in the category for Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs Offering Engineering Management, Nebraska’s MEM moved up four points from #21 last year. And for the first time, U.S. News ranked the MEM 13th on its list of the Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs for Veterans. 

“Our MEM is a premium graduate degree for STEM industry professionals with a streamlined curriculum that fuses technical operational and business managerial knowledge relevant to the needs of those employed in engineering, science, and technology,” said Jena Asgarpoor, MEM program director and professor of practice.

The MEM degree is a 30-credit program; the college also offers a 12-credit Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management. The master’s degree is one of nine programs internationally certified by the American Society for Engineering Management for meeting and exceeding their rigorous standards and review.

“The curriculum capitalizes on the knowledge of our seasoned faculty, research-based pedagogy specific to online education, and interactive cross pollination of our students’ experiences sharing and discussing their perspectives and work challenges from a STEM lens,” added Asgarpoor.
