Companies looking to hire engineering students have an online pathway thanks to Handshake at UNL. Handshake is a place where students engage with employers, search and apply for internships, co-ops or part-time or full-time jobs.
Handshake is easy for companies to use. Adding a position requires creating a profile at the UNL Handshake web site. After users create their profile and connect with The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, UNL will approve the connection and companies are free to post their job opportunities. Handshake allows users to provide details of each post, making these opportunities unique and attractive to students. Once a position is posted to Handshake, Engineering Career Services can help advertise the job or internship opportunity to students via email in Job Alerts.
Additionally, Handshake has other valuable resources students utilize to find the right fit for them, including career coaching services and a Career Resource Library.
