Postdoctoral Research Associate Open Position

The Laser-Assisted Nano Engineering (LANE) laboratory in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) seeking a qualified individual to fulfill a postdoctoral research associate position on one-year fixed-term basis (10/01/2015 to 09/31/2016), with the possibility of renewal based on performance and available funding. The position will remain open until fulfilled. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.

A qualified applicant should possess a doctorate degree in one of the following fields: Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. A strong research background in diamond synthesis and laser micromachining is highly desirable.

The appointee is expected to conduct cutting-edge research in a highly interdisciplinary project focusing on diamond synthesis and laser micromachining. The applicant will have opportunities to collaborate with researchers from national and international groups.

PhD Student Open Position

The position will remain open until fulfilled. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.

The qualified applicant will work in a highly interdisciplinary project focusing on diamond synthesis and laser micromachining. The applicant will have opportunities to collaborate with researchers from national and international groups.

We are looking for an enthusiastic PhD student with a solid background in one of the following fields: Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. Applicants with a master’s degree (or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a master’s degree) in the related fields are highly encouraged to apply.
