Clarence Water’s passion for architectural engineering is evident. It does not, however, surpass his joy for teaching and his students. Put these together and you’ll find he’s helping to build one of the nation’s best AE programs.
Last year, he was honored for his work by the Architectural Engineering Institute’s 2016 Outstanding Architectural Engineering Educator Award – the first time this award has been given.
Waters also stays in touch with many of the program’s graduates, noting they are among the “most important relationships I have.” His work with industry in this field – in Omaha and outside the state – is one reason students in the college have such strong connections from the very beginning. These relationships benefit not only the students – for networking, internships, coops and jobs – for also help fill important industry needs. It is because this dedication by the faculty that demand for our graduates is high.
