Favorite Memory of UNL
Maureen's favorite memories include swing dancing by the fountain until 2 am her freshman year with seniors who were graduating and the 7 Koinonia retreats she was a part of through the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center. She has loved UNL, and all the people she's met.
Future Plans
Maureen will be going on to Pudue University for her Master's in Mechanical Engineering after taking the summer off. She will be doing research in heat transfer and fluid flow, building on her undergraduate research.
Who/What has inspired you during your college career?
Maureen has been inspired by her parents, both engineers, and all of their support encouraging her to do her best. She is also so thankful for Angela Monheim, for helping her grow in self-confidence and interpersonal skills as an engineer, and to Dr. George Gogos for teaching her to love research. Maureen would has also been inspired by countless friends and classmates to keep going when it was most difficult and showing her what hard work is.
