P3 - 2020 Project Overviews

Projects partially funded by a grant from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality’s Waste Reduction Fee Fund:

  1. Hyeonggeun Bak – Perrin Manufacturing
    Analyzed manufacturing operations with the goal of reducing solid waste production through source reduction and recycling.

  2. Adam Eddy – Todd's BBI
    Analyzed operations with a focus on updating older equipment, increasing production efficiency, reducing utility costs, and improving food safety.

  3. Aiden Johnson – Todd's BBI
    Analyzed operations with a focus on updating older equipment, increasing production efficiency, reducing utility costs, and improving food safety.

  4. Ashley Miller – Midwest Renewable Energy
    Analyzed energy consumption and process data. Made recommendations to reduce waste in the production process and energy usage.

  5. Lucas Zelnio – Loveland
    Analyzed operations with a focus on reducing water and energy costs.

    Prepared videos of best practices that can be applied by food manufacturers to reduce waste production and energy use.
