Rudnick receives ASABE Larry W. Turner Young Extension Professional Award

Daran Rudnick, associate professor of Biological Systems Engineering, received the Larry W. Turner Young Extension Professional Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).

The award, given annually to an ASABE member younger than 40, was presented to Rudnick at the 2021 ASABE Annual International Meeting, which was held virtually in July. The Turner Award recognizes excellence in personal character and outstanding achievement in the following areas:

• Serving clientele by disseminating, sharing and applying engineering knowledge;
• Motivating clientele to acquire new knowledge, skills and understanding;
• Transferring research technology into practical, problem-solving applications; and
• Advancing the profession of agricultural and biological engineering.
